¡Quiero andar mi bicicleta!

UPDATE: I´m sorry, but I felt like I took things a little too lightly in that last post. I have personally not seen any evidence of the quake, so it is hard for me to relate with stuff you might read. Yes, I wasn´t in Chile, but I was in a town that was one the boarder and not very far from the center and we did get hit. I have talked to people who were in Santiago and one guy said he arrived the next day and didn´t even know about it until he read his 50 emails. I´m keeping the post up because this is what happened to me, but I want to make a point that I realize there are other things going on.
Oh, what a wonderful week in a wonderful place. Some might say ¨Earth shaking¨. A few more hikes, a bike ride, some good beer, running into random friends, more ice cream, and, oh yeah, learning a bit more Spanish. To culminate this week, I made international headlines... ok, that´s an overstatement, but it was a big deal. I was dancing away at a nightclub (ok, ignore what time it occured here) and I thought the spotlight was shining on me. Oh no, that was them telling us everyone had to leave the club immediately and we weren´t sure why, but we didn´t want to get caught in a mess so we left ASAP. Needless to say, we didn´t feel the 7.0 earthquake here, but we want t-shirts ¨Estuve allᨠ(I was there). So far, everything is fine but I have to see how my travels to Mendoza will go today. Oh, and another highlight was GIRL TALK over happy hour margaritas, it´s been a while...

  1. More like a 8.8 earthquake. I'm glad you're OK.
