¿Estoy en una otra planeta?
From San Pedro de Atacama I took a 3 day tour to the salt flats of Bolivia. I guess I missed the bus that I was supposed to be on, but all the tour companies in the town are basically one so I got on another one. It ended up being with these guys I met from the hostel, which turned out to be a good thing. We traveled around the desert, salt flats, geysers, rocks, animals, and lakes in a Land Cruiser. No paved roads, barely some tire tracks to follow, but we finally got an iPod cable! The salt flats were really interesting, it doesn´t feel real. However, we had some, um, complications at the end and didn´t get to see the train graveyard, bummer... We ended in a town called Uyuni, where there was a pizza place that I had to go to. The day I left the States I stopped at a Bank of America to figure out money. The lady asked me where I was going and she ended being a Brazilian that married an American who married a Bolivian (still following?). Well, her sister and brother-in-law own this fantastic pizza place where we had LLAMA pesto pizza, quite good actually.
